Working Beks || Review

Happy 2018!!!

This is my first post of 2018!!! (yey!)

Working Beks – Beks is a gay lingo used here in Philippines to describe a gay person.

I know that it’s an old film but I just recently saw it and fell in love with the story and how they deliver it.

Working Beks is a film that was released last 2016. It revolves around the lives of five normal gay person. The protagonists are Gorgeous (John Lapus), Tommy (TJ Trinidad), Champ (Edgar Allan de Guzman), Mandy (Joey Paras) and Jet (Prince Stefan).

It tackles about how the straight people perceives a gay person in their own way and how a gay person learns to accepts and love themselves for who they really are and be proud of it.

It really hit me that this is what most or some of them experience/s and it really saddens me. Hope that they will realize that they are also people too the same as the straight people and that they also needs respect.

Genre:

Comedy, Drama

Story:

Hmmm.. for the story I think this is the score that is appropriate. I like how the story unfolds. It really makes us see how their lives revolves.

Midnight Runners || Review

Hi!

It’s been a long time that I reviewed a SoKor ( South Korea ) movie.

It was shown this month, August 9, 2017. Lead by Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul.

Plot:

Two students from the police academy witness a kidnapping and they get involved in the case.

Genre:

Comedy, Action

Cinematography:

The cameraman really put an effort to the angle. A for effort.

Story: 

I like how the story unfolds. The beginning, to the climax and how the writer put an end to the story. It’s not the usual story that you can watch or read.

Characters:

 

I love how the artist/s portrayed/give life to the character/s of the story. Their facial expression/s also gave additional points to it.

All in all I really enjoy the movie. I cried, laugh and in the end i smiled.

Kita kita ( Review )

Love comes from different forms. You’ll never know until it was gone.

Kita kita is an indie film by Sigrid Bernardo. It was starred by Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez. They shoot the film at Japan.

Kita kita is a movie about Leah ( Alessandra de Rossi ), after she was broken hearted she got temporary blindness due to stress and Tonyo ( Empoy Marquez ) shine his way while she was blind.

“Ako naman ang magsisilbing mata mo eh, basta ikaw ang magsisilbing tourist guide ko.”

Kita kita is a very good movie. I had a feeling that this movie will be a drama but I never thought that it will be that sad. The transition of the story is so good. From the first story until the revelation. that they already met and the male lead is like a “stalker” to the female lead. Then to the ending, the revelation on how the male lead appear in front to the female lead, that they already got to know each other way back but the female lead didn’t know.

So, that’s it guys.

Kimi No Na Wa! (Review)

Hi!

i noticed recently that this anime makes a ruckus now. I watched it last year and it was recommended by a friend of mine. Before I watch the whole movie, I watched first the trailer and it was so good.

In the trailer, it gives me hope that this will be  a good movie. Actually, I don’t like watching drama (I hate crying 😦 ). I was hesitant at first to watched and thankfully I’m not.

When I watched the anime it gives me mixed emotions. Like, what will be the ending? What will happen to them? That kind of questions while watching it. I thought, Taki’s actions will be in vain (in the middle of the movie) but there’s magical happened that bring me to tears. After that, they went to a strange phenomenon that leads Taki and Mitsuha together.

The story is very beautiful. Although they forgot but their heart haven’t. You can’t evade the destiny.

A Third Party (Review)

Hi!

Aside from the normal pairing (e.g. girlxboy) there is also a boyxboy (yaoi) and girlxgirl  (yuri) pairing. In this pairing, it is different from what we see from when we were still a child (so innocent 😀 ) but when I reached my teenage years I realised that the world is big. I think that in this pairing (in the screen)  (don’t hate me please!) I can feel that there’s more love in it than normal pair. What do you think?

I’m talking about that because I’m reviewing a movie that tackles about that subject. A Third Party, starring Angel Locsin, Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo. At first, when I didn’t know the story, I thought that they are fighting for Angel Locsin but I was wrong.

The movie is about Andi (Angel) and Max (Sam) breaking up after college. When Max returned, he already had a boyfriend, Christian (Zanjoe). When Andi got pregnant and her boyfriend leaves her with another girl, she came to Max for help. This is all the story began.

I was so amaze in this story and this is the first time I watch something like this (Sorry TomDen fans) made by Filipinos. I usually watch movies from another country when it comes to this genre. I was shock and cannot utter a word in the middle of the story. At first, I was not convinced that Sam and Zanjoe can fulfill the role but I was wrong, specially in the kissing part (it made me go crazy hahaha 😀 ).

Barcelona: The Love Untold (Review)

How’s your day everyone? Mine is good. 😀

I’m not a fan of KathNiel (Sorry KathNiel fans) but i like this movie of them together. I think they mature starting from this movie. They take it to the new high level.

Barcelona is a movie starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. In this movie, Ely (Daniel) trying to fulfill the wish of his girlfriend’s wish before she died in Barcelona. Then, Mia (Kathryn) came to Barcelona to have a point in life. She wants her father to be proud of her. Series of events, the meet each other and Ely gave Mia hope. Together, they overcome the struggles in their life.

I don’t really watch Filipino movies unless it’s a comedy. This movie is different. It gives a different feelings. While watching this movie, I cried, laughed, kilig (romantic excitement), and it seems like I can connect to the character in the movie (hahaha).

So, what’s your take on the movie?

Lights Out

Hi!

Halloween is almost here. Although this movie was already shown in the cinema.

Lights Out is a horror movie. This is about Sophie, Rebecca’s mother, being a friend to Diana. Diana is the ghost that will appear if there’s no light in the area. She wants to be with Sophie no matter what.

This movie is good. The effects and also the portrayal of each character. Also, how they end the movie.

If you want to experience it, you should watch the movie.

Nerve

Hi!

Nerve… I first saw the trailer Ii was automatically drag into their world. It’s full of adventure, dare devil stunts, hacking and a game in one.

 

The story starts when the Nerve was introduce to Vee (Emma Roberts) by her best friend. After a misunderstanding she join the Nerve as a player. Then, in the process she met Ian (Dave Franco) and became a team.

The movie is good. I like how it was being display to the audience. You can feel all the emotions throughout the movie.

I suggest that you also watch the movie. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with it.

The Curse of Sleeping Beauty

Hi!

Who doesn’t know the story of Sleeping Beauty? Everyone knows about it right? We all know Sleeping Beauty but we don’t know abut Briar Rose.

The story starts when Thomas Kaiser starts dreaming about sleeping beauty but before he can kiss her, he will woke up in a weird way. Until, he got an inheritance from his estranged uncle who pass away, the story begins.

At first you gonna say like “WOW!” then “UGH!”. The story-line was easy to predict but I applause the graphics. It was nicely done. For the actor/tress I say that they did a pretty good job in their acting.

5th Wave

Hi!

I miss you guy!!! Been busy with my personal life lately. Sorry! 😦

So, to compensate. I have here movies that I have been seeing this past few weeks.

This is the first one. I thought this movie is like, “Hmmm… it’s not nice alien again.” but after i saw the movie I was like, “Wow! That was amazing. I did not see that one coming.”

The story revolves around Cassie, who after her mother died and before her father died vowed to her brother that she will always be with him no matter what. But accidents do happened, while trying to get her brother back, she encounters many things that she will never expected to happened in her life as a socialize teenager.

The movie was good. I never expected the ending. There’s also one episode there that I don’t really get why though all in all I like the production.
